Despite the difficulties of the year 2020, WISE is expanding its global footprint. So for the first time, WISE makes it to Shanghai for a series of events. On August 28th, 2020 the WISE conference will kick off at the Hamburg Haus with a panel on the development of Shanghai´s artist and music community.

We also invite a select group of Shanghai’s music industry folks to participate in matchmakings with their European counterparts which Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival gathers at the WISE X Reeperbahn Festival International Showcase at legendary Berlin concert venue Festsaal Kreuzberg.

At night, we will bring some of Beijing’s & Shanghai’s finest techno acts together @ 44KW Club, while the WISE x REEPERBAHN INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL Showcase will be streamed live into 44KW.

WISE X SHANGHAI BY DAY

Hamburg Haus

WISE invites a select group of Shanghai’s music industry folks to participate panels and matchmaking sessions with their European counterparts from Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival.

The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg presented itself at the World Exhibition 2010 as an innovative and livable metropolis on the waterfront.

The Hamburg House, located on the northern bank of the Huangpu River, is now the home of the Hamburg Liaison Office China, which represents the interests of the Senate of the City of Hamburg (SK), the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce (HK), the Hamburg Invest (HIW), Port of Hamburg Marketing (HHM), the Hamburg Tourism Board (HHT) and the Hamburg Marketing Board (HMG).

Shanghai Originals: From Underground to International — In recent years, Shanghai musicians, designers & artists made quite a splash on the international scene. Why is that? We take a deeper look into Shanghai’s creative scenes and discuss how the city's environment shapes the art coming out of it and how the dynamics of the game and perception changed over the last decade.

WISE presents some of Beijing’s & Shanghai’s finest techno acts in a exquisite lineup @ 44KW Club, while the WISE x REEPERBAHN INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL Showcase will be streamed live into 44KW.

44KW is Shanghai's prime address for HipHop, House & Techno music, and aims to present outstanding electronic music experiences. Room 44 focuses on Techno & House music, showcasing leading international & local DJs and producers.
